Jiji

Jiji is about 3 years old, born in mid June I think. Originally owned by my exgirlfriend Keiko who went back to Japan a couple of years ago. I am not really a cat person, and am away from home for 10 to 12 hours a day.

Jiji is very shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he is very affectionate and playful. He loves to cuddle in bed, and will lick your arm or hand if that's sticking out of the sheets. He loves his toys and scratchpost too, but he would do well with someone or another cat that wants to play with him. I think he would be fine outdoors except I haven't been able to keep up with his vet check ups and appointments. He has been stuck in my little Toronto apartment for a year and half now. He is ok with other cats, maybe a little too playful and pushy for some, like those cats that don't care for other cats. When I lived in Kitchener with a roommate with a dog and two cats, he tried to play with the cats and that didn't go so well. He got along fine with the dog which was a boxer bytheway.

When I received him 2 years ago he was sick and weak from a respiratory illness, possibly feline herpes or chlamydia, but is now in good health. I have a record of his previous appointments and shots.
