Venus The Shepherd Mix Needs A New Home

Venus: Please, can you include this very special girl in next newsletter. She's been living in a cage for a very long time at Toronto Humane Society. As a volunteer, I have grown fond of her & am saddened that she still remains homeless. My fingers are crossed that putting her on C4P will make a difference. (I have permission from THS to post.) Jackie Clements:   Venus is a smart, beautiful German shepherd mix who has been bounced from one insecure environment to another. Now 7, she's had 3 owners who could not provide the leadership she needs. This broken trust and long stints at the shelter have eroded her confidence. Venus must have a very experienced, calm owner who will manage her behaviour and always be on top of situations before they develop, while helping her to become more self-assured. In return for consistent guidance, you will discover a wonderful dog whose loving, playful spirit has endured. Venus has many fans at THS, because when she is relaxed / safe, she is a joy to be with, delighting in walks / ball games, and affectionately hanging out with people she trusts. She has the best obedience skills, Tx to the hard work she’s been doing with staff At home, she is low-maintenance, quiet, well-behaved, happiest just being part of your life. Will you commit to managing this girl's fears and being her loving leader? Venus is impatient to get out of the shelter and stay with you forever. Please contact Shas:   sahmadarahman@torontohumanesociety.com.

  1. what a gorgeous girl, I hope she gets a forever home. She reminds me of a dog I walk, not only in looks, but behaviour. These dogs are tough on the surface, but really just need a proper leader and a lot of love. Good luck to Venus. :)
