Taffy The Husky Mix Needs A New Family

"My name is Taffy and I am a gentle, loving, trained indoor housepet who has had one home and regular veterinary care.  I am a medium sized husky/collie mix with soft white fur and beautiful blue eyes. I will sit for you and shake a paw, play catch, or just lie lovingly at your feet while you rub my belly. I am healthy and have had regular vet checks and vaccinations; I am still energetic and need regular exercise. I will alarm bark to alert you if someone comes to the door. I come from a quiet mature home; One of my owners has died and the other is no longer able to give me the exercise and stimulation that I need. I am bored because of this and have started chewing on my paw to relieve my stress (known as a hot spot). I have not lived with children, but I have had visits with children and enjoy those that are respectful. I might chase cats, but just for play, and I am more apt to be the one chased than the chaser! I am a runner as huskies are, so I need to be kept secure at all times. I do pull on my leash; I may settle down once I get regular exercise but there are also special *harnesses to help me to pull less.  I am 11 years young and I hope to find a special home to share my zest for life. I will return your love and attention tenfold. I am located in Lindsay, but I also have family in the Toronto area who want to see me in a good home. My adopter is required to provide a veterinary reference and my owner will do a home visit before I am adopted." A harness* with straps that tighten behind her shoulders when pulling works well (from pet supply stores, Canadian Tire, etc.) Call 905-623-9156.
